Non-Insulated Bucket Trucks

Non-insulated platforms are constructed without dielectric insulation in the boom or basket. This design typically allows for a lighter, more cost-effective unit that is well suited for applications where electrical contact is not a concern. Commercial builds these aerial platforms on a large variety of chassis that provide stable, controlled access to elevated work areas through articulated or telescopic boom systems.

Non-Insulated options are perfect for telecommunications providers, municipal public works departments, sign and lighting maintenance crews, tree care professionals working away from energized lines, and contractors performing building maintenance or installation work. Their versatility makes them an essential tool for tasks such as installing signage, servicing streetlights, maintaining communications infrastructure, and performing exterior repairs on commercial buildings.

Insulated Bucket Trucks

Light-duty insulated bucket trucks are equipped with dielectric-insulated booms and platforms designed to protect operators when working near energized electrical components. The insulation built into the boom sections and bucket mounted on to a smaller chassis helps reduce the risk of electrical current passing through the equipment to the operator, allowing crews to perform work safely around live power lines and electrical infrastructure, while still providing the maneuverability necessary for urban environments.

These trucks are most commonly used by, electrical contractors and those performing work on energized equipment and components. Their compact size and maneuverability make them well suited for tasks such as residential service work, streetlight maintenance, and equipment repair.
