McNeilus Announces Partnership with Commercial Truck Equipment to Expand Sales, Parts, and Service Support in Canada

McNeilus will work with Commercial Truck Equipment Co. to bring customers more access to parts, service and refuse collection products.

Dodge Center, MN. (Nov. 2, 2023)–McNeilus Truck and Manufacturing, Inc., an Oshkosh Corporation (NYSE: OSK) company, has partnered with Commercial Truck Equipment Co. to grow the McNeilus brand and expand its sales, parts distribution, and service network from British Columbia to Ontario, including all territories.

Commercial Truck Equipment is Canada’s largest supplier of heavy-duty truck equipment and solutions with six truck equipment branches strategically located across Canada. The company has been serving customers for more than 75 years to sell and support top products across most vocational truck applications, including refuse collection, towing and recovery, snow and ice, utility, service vehicles, material transport, emergency services and more.

“As Canada’s largest supplier of vocational trucks and truck equipment, stepping into refuse collection vehicles with McNeilus and Oshkosh Corporation is a perfect fit for us,”said Morgan MacKay, general manager for Commercial Truck Equipment Co.“Our branch and parts warehousing network across Canada will ensure an extremely high level of service and support for new and existing customers alike, and with so much experience in adjacent industries, we’ll be able to hit the ground running. We’re extremely grateful to McNeilus for trusting us with the responsibility that comes with a new dealership and can’t wait to get started.”

With this dealer relationship, McNeilus aims to enhance its industry leading support using dedicated, local sales and service teams to bring more access to products, parts and service technicians close to home. As part of its continuous improvement mission, McNeilus continually looks at ways to enhance the customer experience. Expanding its sales and support network through experienced equipment dealers in Canada will allow the company to tap into markets and develop relationships with customers that have been more difficult to reach.

“Partnering with Commercial best positions McNeilus to enhance our customer support, provide high vehicle uptime, and deliver a superior experience,”said Lee Dreas, vice president and general manager for McNeilus Truck and Manufacturing.“They have a great reputation across Canada for offering top products and customer service, and we’re looking forward to working with their team to bring our premium brand and refuse collection solutions to more customers.”

Commercial Truck Equipment is the exclusive Canadian dealer for McNeilus refuse products from British Columbia to Ontario, including all territories. Dealer-level support is now available from Commercial, and existing customers are being onboarded into Commercial’s parts and service support network.
